K3Dcad is a program to generate depthmaps and stereograms.
It is used as a 3D CAD (computer aided design) program to design
3 dimensional objects. These objects can be rendered to depthmaps
(used as 'solution' for stereograms) and stereograms ('Magic Eye').
How do I use the program
I tried to implement some useful features I found in AutoCAD. So you can draw
the objects by commands and/or by mouse. So you can choose your favourite
combination of these two methods.
I wrote a brief description of all commands.
Screenshots
The user interface:
There are 4 different views: top, front, left and 3D. The 3D view can show the wire model, the
depthmap, the stereogram or any combination of it.
Plans for the future
use tiles for the stereogram (not only random-dot-stereograms)
more tools (rotation, expand, ...)
toolbars for the commands
a better homepage ;-)
and many more
